BCA Catalogue Auction set for August 18th


Artists Mahiriki Tangaroa, Mark Cross, Hye Rim Lee, Sam Thomas, Ian George, Rick Welland, Sylvia Marsters, Andy Leleisiúao, Loretta Reynolds, Tim Buchanan and Te Aturangi Nepia - Clamp feature in the new BCA Catalogue.

The catalogue auction is set for Monday August 18th at BCA Gallery and will once again be overseen by auctioneer John Kenning and special guest John Gow of Gow Langsford Gallery who will join us from Auckland.  We will also welcome our new sponsors CITC Liquor and Lawson’s Dry Hills Winery to the BCA Patrons family.  
Once again the Creative Centre is our charity of choice and they will receive a percentage of the auction total.
Absentee forms are available in the catalogue and bids are invited should you not be able to attend. Auction catalogues are available  now at BCA or please view on-line. Viewing for the auction will be available as of Monday 11th at BCA.

BCA returns to the VOLTA Show, NYC, March 6-9

BCA returns to NYC March 6-9 to exhibit at the VOLTA Show, 82 Mercer St with the Sylvia Marsters Installation, New Yorkers Don't See Flowers.

Nine original paintings in this series will be accompanied by a limited screen print entitled New York Hibiscus.

Artist Sylvia Masters will be present at VOLTA.  Joining the BCA team is local videographer John Beasley. A documentary of the  NYC trip will be launched after the VOLTA show.

BCA Gallery is proud to present  its first ever Catalogue Auction to take place at BCA Gallery, Rarotonga, Monday, February 17th at 6pm. Works by Mark Cross, Mahiriki Tangaroa, Reuben Paterson, Sylvia Marsters, Tim Buchanan, Loretta Reynolds, Nanette Lela’ulu and others will be on offer.

Senior Auckland Gallerist John Gow will be keynote speaker and special advisor to the auction.

10% of auction proceeds will be donated to the Creative Centre Charity.  The primary focus of the Creative Centre is to develop pre-vocational and vocational skills for adults with disabilities and supporting members to achieve varying levels of independence.

The 19th Annual LA Art Show 15-19 January



The 19th Annual LA Arts Show gets under way this week at the Los Angeles Convention Centre.
In excess of 50,000 people are expected  to convene upon the show which features galleries from
over 20 countries and 19 U.S. cities.

Lectures and featured topics range from Andy Warhol's decidedly New York-centered hidden treasure
trove of photography, to Latin America's art's evolution and impact, to Amsterdam and the intersection
of technology with the art of Van Gogh, and finally a discussion about the current state of Contemporary
Chinese Art.

Following the show there will be an after party at the Minotti Showroom in West Hollywood. MORE
